Series SynopsisWhen the Dumont sisters receive the phone call from their mother, telling them to come home, they can never imagine the darkness that awaits. Upon return, the seemingly innocent family reunion takes a sudden, dark turn as their loyalty and love for one another is put to the ultimate test. Each dealing in their own ways, they must inevitably decide what they are willing to sacrifice for kin.
At its core, Kith & Kin is about family- the sacrifices we are willing to make, the secrets we are willing to keep and the love that ties that all together. It explores our instincts for survival, protection and the cost that we pay for the sins of our Ancestors. |

It's undeniable. There's something about the 'smoke' billowing from the mountains of North Carolina that draws you in. It has a way of being both beautifully comforting and eerily unnerving, all at the same time- making for the perfect backdrop to our story about family and the love and darkness that comes with them.
As a child, The Great Smoky Mountains meant 'family', to me. It was an escape from the heat of Central Florida into the arms of my grandparents, aunts, uncles and family friends. It was the place where my parents were raised and the place where this Florida girl built her first (very small but very exciting) snowman. There was something magical about the mountains; the way they called to me, the way they sang at sunrise and sunset with the unfamiliar sounds held within.
When the idea of Kith & Kin arose, it was from the smoke of those very mountains- from the pickup rides along dirt roads and the rafting adventures on the Nantahala, all the way down to the roadside vegetable stands and quiet creeks. The landscape tells a story if you'll listen to it; each mountain home brimming with secrets, waiting to unfold.
The Dumont family, at the center of our story, is no different and I cannot wait for the world to meet them.
