​Melissa is the co-founder of Outtake Productions. Most known as the creator for the award winning series Or So the Story Goes, she is also the co-creator of the comedic mockumentary series Block Watch. She is also the co-writer and editor of Kith & Kin and has additionally written numerous award winning screenplays including the short horror film The Angry Man.
